To celebrate the launch of my EP 'In the distance there is a party (I do not go)' I will be putting on a FREE Sunday afternoon show at my favorite drunk cousin Old Bar, Fitzroy, with friends Silent Income as support.
4pm - Silent income:
Silent Income delivers both disco dance bops as well as mellow rock-out moments. Sam’s daze-inducing guitar swirls and entrancing synths, combined with Marcella’s vocal melodies and curious lyrics, make for a dreamy trip through an emotional landscape in search of treasures such as authenticity and, simply, a good time. 5pm - Molly Mckew:
In the distance there is a party (I do not go) is the third release from Molly Mckew following her first 2022 EP I couldn't grasp it and her 2024 album It should have been done with ease. The 8-song release explores various states of inertia, romantic intoxication, emotional dysregulation, longing and fear. Molly will be launching the record at Old Bar on Sunday 7 December with her band. Her dreamy, harmony drenched, folk-pop is embellished by keys from Ryan Oliver, guitar from Sam Billinghurst Walsh and harmonies by Marcella Wright and Cora Diviny.
